Things that make you say "YUM"

This Sunday we’ll be at the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market 1st Gourmet Food Truck Bazaar. I swear to Godzilla that I posted something about this a few days ago, but the post seems to have been eradicated. Thanks, Blogger!Anyhoo: besides the groovy food trucks in attendance a great reason to visit is that we are [...]

Updates: La Cage and Hell’s Kitchen

Hello from Maine! I’m working in Boston this weekend, but hopped up here to see my mom for a day. There are a few things to bring you up-to-date on. I just scored a bunch of tickets to the Broadway revival of La Cage Aux Folles. If you’d like to see my fellow Juilliard alumni [...]

Thanks? I think? I can’t remember!

Time Out New York published a list of the best things to do in NYC when you are stoned, and visiting us is the third item. Another honor that we are proud of! We even had a few baked folks show up today because of the list. Only in New York, kids.

More good.

What a weird day!  Naturally it was a GOOD weird- we’re lucky that way. We’ve been busy working on the content for our new website. We’re about to upgrade from this blog to a “real” site. Konnichiwa!

Where am I??

Friends: Right now the depot that I work out of is desperately short on trucks. There are mechanical problems, permit issues, and lord knows what other problems crippling a good portion of the fleet. This is why I’m not on the street. I am dying to get out; I want to work, I want to see [...]

Wow!!

This is a quick post, because tonight has been a whirlwind. We just won an “EAT OUT” award from Time Out NY. This is a “reader’s choice” award that you all helped us win. We are beside ourselves. We were nominated by critics. Our win was decided by our fans. We accepted in front of some [...]

Phew!

Opening day was a complete success. I worked non-stop; there wasn’t even time to take photos or tweet. Many regulars came down just that they could be there for the opening, which is incredibly flattering. Just like last year the crowds were fun, good-natured, and HUNGRY. All winter I wondered “will people still care?” The answer [...]
